A Million Dollars of Footwear Stolen NR17232dm

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, Cargo-Hijack Unit, are investigating a commercial burglary that occurred in a warehouse yard.

During the evening hours of August 6, 2107, a chassis container trailer loaded with men’s and women’s footwear, valued at approximately $1,000,000.00, was taken from a business yard located in the city of Torrance. On August 8, 2017, the trailer was recovered in the city of Whittier. All the footwear had been removed from the trailer.

Acting on a tip, detectives responded to a business located in the 4400 block of Baldwin Avenue, in the city of El Monte. Inside the location, they recovered approximately $900,000.00 worth of the stolen product.
