Amendment to LAPD Media Card (Press Pass) Fee Effective October 20, 2025 NR25204cm

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 188726, adopted on September 19, 2025, and effective October 20, 2025, the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 52.16, Subsection H has been amended as follows:

“The fee for issuance of a card shall be $73.00, provided, however, that no fee shall be charged for the reissuance of such card.”

Key Changes:

The fee for the initial issuance of an LAPD-issued Media Card (Press Pass) is now set at $73.00.

Reissuance of a media card (e.g., in cases of loss, damage, or renewal) will be processed free of charge. This change applies to all new applications submitted on or after October 20, 2025.
