WHY:
The goal of the organization is to empower, inform, and educate women with requisite skills and knowledge to participate politically and socially in their communities, while providing support and guidance to peers.

AMWEC is supported by the Council of Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA) and seeks to bring Muslim women leaders from all fields to mainstream America.  AMWEC aims to engage more women in civic life and encourage their engagement in the democratic process.  AMWEC connects women with organizations such as South Asian Helpline and Referral Agency (SAHARA), and others that will help in cases of domestic abuse.  Moreover, AMWEC seeks to connect Muslim women with charity organizations in America to partner in service events.
