Armed and Dangerous Murder Suspect On the Loose

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at approximately 9:05 a.m., Suspect Darnell Cooper confronted and shot Victim Darrell Miller (33 years of age, a resident of Los Angeles) to death. The incident occurred in the 5600 block of Smiley Drive.
After the shooting, the suspect confronted a second victim and took his vehicle at gunpoint. The suspect was last seen in the second victim’s vehicle, a 1993 Toyota Altima, 4-door, green, California license plate 3PZH855, westbound on Smiley Drive toward La Cienega Boulevard.
The motive appears to be gang related.
The suspect is a 38 year-old male Black, 5′ 9", 200 lbs. and resides in the vicinity of the crime scene. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
