WHY:
On March 1, 2021, Reuben Newhouse was arrested for a series of commercial burglaries across the San Fernando Valley and the city of Burbank.  From October 29, 2020 through February 25, 2022, Newhouse was responsible for over 70 commercial burglaries in the Valley with 26 in North Hollywood. Newhouse committed the majority of his burglaries between the hours of 2:00a.m. and 4:00a.m. and was captured on video on the majority of the burglaries.

Crime alerts and community alerts were disseminated across the Valley with no leads until a concern citizen, discovered evidence on the side of the road. The evidence led North Hollywood burglary detectives to Newhouse’s residence.

The commanding officer and assigned investigators of North Hollywood will announce details of the arrest, and the identity of the charged individual.
