WHAT:
Central Bureau Homicide detectives will announce the arrest of two suspects in the murder of 16-year-old Alfonso Ramos, which occurred at Evergreen Park Recreational Center in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles on August 12, 2023.

WHY:
On August 12, 2023, around 5:05 p.m., the victim, Alfonso Ramos, was at Evergreen Recreational Park at 2844 East 2nd Street in the community of Boyle Heights. Ramos was approached by two individuals and after a brief altercation inside the recreational center, one of the suspects shot Ramos. After shooting Ramos, the suspects fled (on foot) from the park/recreational center.
