UPDATE On August 30, 2015, around 9:55 a.m., Francisco Guzman, the suspected shooter in this homicide, was located in the City of Los Angeles and arrested by the FBI-LAPD Fugitive Task Force.

Guzman was charged with Murder, 187PC, his bail was set at 3 million dollars.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one man fatally injured and a second hospitalized in Venice.

On Sunday, August 30, 2015 at about 2:00 a.m., LAPD Pacific Division officers responded to a call of a shooting at Ocean Front Walk and Dudley Avenue in Venice Beach.

Officers arrived and found a 26 year old male, Jascent Warren, of Los Angeles, down on the boardwalk. Mr. Warren was not breathing and was non responsive.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and pronounced Mr. Warren dead at scene.

A second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On September 1, 2015, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed one count of 187 Penal Code – Murder on Sris Sinnathamby, 54, of Los Angeles for the murder of Jascent Warren.

The investigation is ongoing.
