WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Department is pleased to announce the arrest of Alexander Grimaldi, who is responsible for 27 counts of crimes related to Burglaries from Motor Vehicles, Identity Theft, and the Possession of a Loaded Handgun in the Olympic and Wilshire Areas of Los Angeles.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 27, 2017 10 a.m.

WHERE: Olympic Area Community Police Station (Community Room) 1130 S. Vermont Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90006

WHO: LAPD III Captain David J. Kowalski, Commanding Officer, Olympic Area LAPD III Captain Anthony Oddo, Commanding Officer, Wilshire Area LAPD Captain Alejandro Vargas, Commanding Officer, Olympic Area Lieutenant Hamed Mohammandi, Detective Commanding Officer, Olympic Area Lieutenant Charles Baley, Detective Commanding Officer, Wilshire Area

WHY: Grimaldi was identified and arrested due to the investigative work and collaboration by several LAPD Divisions and community members. Olympic Auto Detectives presented the case to the District Attorney’s Office and (27) counts were filled against the suspect:
