Arrest of Sexual Assault Suspect

San Pedro: From August 16 through August 18, 2025, a series of four incidents of sexual assault occurred in San Pedro. The crimes involved a similarly described male suspect grabbing and restraining female victims, ages 13 through 42, who were either walking on the sidewalk or inside a store.

On August 18, 2025, a victim was walking in the area of 6th Street and Pacific Avenue, when the suspect approached her from behind, restrained her, and sexually assaulted her. The victim, with the help of other community members, tracked the suspect to a nearby apartment complex on 8th Street. LAPD Harbor Division patrol officers and detectives quickly located the suspect at his residence in this complex and arrested him.

Twenty-seven-year-old David Ramirez was booked for 243.4(a) PC – Felony Sexual Battery, booking number 7074196, and is currently held with no bail. Detectives continue to investigate the other crimes and believe the suspect may have assaulted more women in the area.

Detectives have released the suspect’s booking photograph as they believe there are additional victims that have yet to come forward. Anyone who believes David Ramirez may have victimized them is urged to contact the LAPD immediately.
