Los Angeles: On May 1, 2023, around 4:25 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division officers responded to a radio call of an “ambulance-cutting/ADW”, near the 4600 block of West Olympic Boulevard.

Los Angeles School Police Department officers were at the scene, administering first aid/medical treatment to two male victims, ages 16 and 15. The victims had sustained stab wounds to their upper bodies. A Los Angeles Fire Department rescue ambulance transported the victims to local hospitals, where both victims were later listed in stable condition.

One of the victims is a student at the High School, while the other victim was not a student there. Witnesses described what they thought was a fist fight between 6-10 people (some who appeared to be possible students), on the sidewalk area of Olympic Boulevard and Rimpau Boulevard. Two vehicles (possibly a black Toyota and a red Cadillac) were seen leaving the vicinity at the end of the fight.

At this time, detectives are still trying to confirm the nexus between the suspect(s) and the victims.

Around 11 p.m., Wilshire detectives conducted a follow up to the 2300 block of West Jefferson Boulevard where they detained one male adult and two male juvenile subjects. One male/juvenile subject was arrested for firearm possession inside of a vehicle. The second subject was released, and the adult was questioned and released. Currently the investigation is still on-going.

Wilshire Detectives are continuing to work with the Los Angeles School Police Department and the staff of the Los Angeles Unified School District, ensuring the safety of the students and the surrounding community.
