Assault with a Deadly Weapon on Police Officers NR20313LL

Los Angeles: On December 11, 2020 around 11 p.m., Olympic Area patrol officers were responding to reports of street racers at the intersection of 7th Street and Western Avenue. Upon arrival, they were immediately surrounded by numerous vehicles and a large group of spectators that had taken over the intersection.

Officers attempted to leave the area, but the suspects immediately began to throw rocks and bottles at their vehicle. Various spectators approached the patrol vehicle and began smashing the rear side windows and kicking the side body of the vehicle. Several of the vandals managed to open the driver’s door and throw items inside, attempting to strike the Officers.

Officers broadcasted for “Help” as they attempted to escape. A vehicle attempting to get away intentionally struck the front right portion of the patrol vehicle, causing damage.

Officers placed themselves in pursuit which terminated in the city of Buena Park. The suspect fled into the neighborhood and eventually surrendered to officers.

The suspect was arrested and booked for Felony Evading. His booking information is as follows:
