San Pedro: Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of an attempt carjacking suspect.
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, around 2:30 p.m., a female suspect attacked an 81-year-old male victim and attempted to steal his truck in the 1300 block of West 214th Street. The victim was parking his truck in front of his house when the suspect knocked him to the ground, took his keys, and attempted to take the vehicle. The victim was able to engage a “kill switch” on the vehicle which prevented the vehicle from being taken.
The suspect fled the location on foot and is described as a female White, blonde hair, 5’1” to 5’3”, 140 to 150 pounds, and 20 to 30 years of age.
The victim only suffered minor injuries from the attack.
