Winnetka: The Los Angeles Police Department is releasing a composite drawing of the suspect wanted in connection with a random shooting that occurred in Winnetka on December 20, 2001.
On that date at approximately 2:00 a.m., two 19 year-old girls were driving home in the 20600 block of Saticoy Street when the suspect, described as a male White, blond spiked hair, 20-25 years old, driving a late model, white Ford F-150 pick-up truck with an extended cab, short bed, and black grill guards over the tail lights, slowly drove up next to them. The suspect, who was the lone occupant of the truck, for no apparent reason, began shooting at the two girls with .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun. After firing 4-6 shots, the suspect drove off westbound on Saticoy Street.
One of the girls was struck in the leg with a bullet and she was hospitalized in stable condition at a local hospital.
Copies of the composite drawing are available to the media at the West Valley Community Police Station, 19020 Vanowen Street in Reseda.
