Attempt Rape Suspect Sought NR23207ne

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Central Division is asking for the public’s help in locating 21-year-old suspect, Sergio Andrew Garcia.

On July 10, 2023, at around 8:35 a.m., the suspect followed the victim on foot from the area of Olympic Boulevard and Albany. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and attempted to remove her clothing as the victim walked under the 110 freeway at Olympic Boulevard and LA Live Way.

On July 11, 2023, at around 10:45 a.m., the suspect approached a second victim from the rear, slapped her back and fled the area. This occurred in the area of Chick Hern Court and Georgia Street.

On July 15, 2023, at around 9:20 a.m., the suspect approached a third victim on foot as she walked home from church in the 1300 block of South Alvarado Street. The suspect struck the victim in the face multiple times, causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. The suspect removed the victim’s property and fled on foot.

On July 15, 2023, at around 9:35 a.m., in the 1300 block of South Burlington Avenue the suspect approached a fourth victim from behind as she rummaged through the trunk of her car. The suspect reached out and sexually assaulted her. He then fled on foot.

Suspect Andrew Garcia is described as a male Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, stands 5’6” and weighs 151 pounds with a mustache. He is known to carry a black satchel with red lettering “Gucci”.
