Attempt to Identify Battery/Criminal Threat Hate Crime Suspects NR24065rc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes Division is asking for the public’s assistance to identify four suspects responsible for attacking three victims.

On September 29, 2023, around 2:26 p.m., three Turkish Consulate members walked through the USC campus at Downey Way and Watt Way after a planned event.  The suspects, who were part of a group of protestors, approached the victims, yelled derogatory statements and physically attacked them.  The suspects pushed, punched, kicked, and threw water at the victims.  The suspects then fled the area and the victims fled to safety.
