Seeking Information on Second Attempted Abduction

Update: On August 26,
2015, around 9:15 a.m., a suspect attempted to abduct an adult
female from the 2100 block of West Washington Boulevard.
Investigators believe he is the same suspect wanted for the
attempted abduction of two children on August 10, 2015.

The victim was walking on the south sidewalk when the suspect,
seated in a white, Chevrolet van with tinted windows spoke to her.
The suspect displayed pornographic images on a cell phone then said
to the victim in Spanish, “Get in the van, or you know what will
happen.” The victim observed a blue steel handgun on the center
console of the van and the suspect’s pants to be down, exposing his
genitals. She immediately left the location and called 911. She
last saw the suspect drive north on Oxford Avenue from Washington
Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, light complexion,
black hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 pounds, 30-40
years of age, wearing a brown wide brimmed hat, a light blue polo
type shirt with white stripes, and blue jeans. Additionally the
suspect was described as having dental braces with blue rubber
bands, a light brown mustache and pot belly.

Possible suspect vehicle

The suspect was driving an older model, white Chevrolet, Astro, van
with tinted windows and a white utility rack on the roof. The
fleeing suspect vehicle was captured on video and will be available
to the media.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department
Olympic Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying a
suspect who attempted to abduct two children who were playing
outside their home.

On August 10, 2015 around 6:50 p.m., the two and three-year-old
victims were playing with about five children in the courtyard of
the apartment complex located in the 1700 block of South
Westmoreland Boulevard. The suspect scaled a chain linked fence to
the rear of the location and grabbed both victims attempting to
carry them away.

The other children began to scream and the suspect dropped the
victims, fleeing the location on foot to an unknown location.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, approximately
25-years-old, with black hair and brown eyes. He stands about 6
feet tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing a
wide brimmed hat, dark sunglasses, a red t-shirt, blue jeans and
white shoes. Additionally the suspect was described as having blue
dental braces.
