Attempted Murder Suspect Wanted NR17145aj

Rampart: Detectives from the Los
Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division are asking for the
public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the
arrest of the suspect, responsible for the attempted murder of an
Echo Park resident.

On May 2, 2017, around 1:55 a.m., Rampart Area officers responded
to an “ADW cutting”, located in the 1100 block of Echo Park Avenue
in the rear alley.

The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal argument as the
victim was attempting to order food from a taco truck in the 1500
block of West Sunset Boulevard. The suspect armed himself with two
knives and began punching and stabbing the victim. When the victim
fell onto the ground, the suspect stood over him and continued to
stab the victim multiple times. The suspect left through an alley
south of Sunset Boulevard and west of Echo Park Avenue

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and
transported the victim to a local area hospital. The victim is
listed in stable condition. The victim is described as a
47-years-old white male.

The suspect is described as a male, Black or Hispanic, stands 6
feet tall, around 200 lbs., 48-52 years old, full black beard with
gray whiskers on chin, wearing a black baseball cap, blue or black
“Planet Fitness” T-shirt, tan cargo shorts, and black shoes. The
suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
