LAPD Launches Everbridge Media Distribution Platform
To sign up for our new exclusive media contact list visit the Media Relations page at www.lapdonline.org, click on “EVERBRIDGE.”
Los Angeles- The Los Angeles Police Department’s Public Communications Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new media distribution platform through Everbridge, designed to deliver LAPD press releases, news advisories, and other media updates directly to news organizations in real time.
This enhanced system offers members of the media a faster, more reliable way to receive official communications, eliminating the need to monitor the LAPD Public Information Office (PIO) account on X (formerly Twitter) for updates. The LAPD PIO account will continue to share media alerts and key information, but Everbridge will ensure that registered journalists receive official updates as soon as they are released.
If you were previously subscribed to LAPD’s media contact list, your information has already been transferred to the new platform. New users can sign up using an email address or mobile phone number by visiting the Media Relations page at www.lapdonline.org and clicking on the “Everbridge” link, or by going directly to:
https://member.everbridge.net/index/77860777754748
Once registered, media contacts will receive official LAPD communications via email and/or text message. To confirm your enrollment, we encourage new users to email Sergeant William Cooper at 40415@lapd.online with your name and media organization.
For more information, please contact the LAPD Media Relations Division at (213)486-5910 or via email at PIO@lapd.online.
