"Babies with Aids get Christmas Trees and Gifts"

Los Angeles: On Thursday, December 13, 2001, between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Officers from Wilshire and Northeast Area Community Police Stations will visit the Caring for Babies with Aids (CBA) home, located in Los Angeles, to bring Christmas trees and gifts for the children living at the location.
The CBA was founded in response to the needs of HIV impacted infants and children who had been taken into protective custody by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family services. Some of these children were abandoned at birth while others had been removed from their families due to neglect, abuse or the inability of the family to care for the child.
For further information, please contact Wilshire Senior Lead Officer Perry Jones at 213-509-5334 or Northeast Community Relations Officer Marjan Mobasser at 213-485-2548.
This media advisory was prepared by Public Information Officer Jason Lee, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
