Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Area, in conjunction with West Traffic Division and the Los Angeles Unified School Police, will have a “Get Back to School Safely” news conference.  The news conference is to remind the public that school is back in session and to increase pedestrian/bicycle safety awareness around schools.  Additional emphasis will be to encourage parents to drop off and pick up their children safely.  The “School Valet” program will be discussed.
