WHAT: Hollywood Community Police Station’s “Shop with a Cop”

WHEN: Tuesday, August 14, 2018 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE: Hollywood Community Police Station 1358 N. Wilcox Avenue Los Angeles, Ca 90028 (Meeting location)

Staples Office Supply Store 6450 Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, Ca 90028 (Shopping location)

WHO: LAPD Captain Cory Palka, Commanding Officer, Hollywood Area LAPD Captain Steve Lurie, Patrol Commanding Officer, Hollywood Area LAPD Hollywood Area Senior Lead Officers, Officers and Detectives Twenty-five children from the local Hollywood Community

WHY: Through the generosity of the Mathew 25:35 Foundation, twenty-five children from Hollywood will be accompanied by a Police Officer as they shop for their back to school supplies. The children and their Officer escorts will walk from the Hollywood Community Police Station to the Staples store just north of the station on Wilcox Avenue where the children will select a backpack and necessary tools to start the school year.
