WHAT: 77th Community Police Station’s “Shop with a Cop”

WHEN: Thursday, August 16, 2018 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Jackie Tatum Harvard Park 1535 West 62nd Street Los Angeles, California 90047 (Meeting location)

Staples Office Supply Store 1701 South Figueroa Street Los Angeles, California 90015 (Shopping location)

WHO: LAPD Captain Rafael Ramirez, 77th Street Area Commanding Officer LAPD Captain Shannon Paulson, 77th Street Area Commanding Officer LAPD 77th Street Area Community Relations Officers, Senior Lead Officers, Officers and Detectives Twenty-five children from the local 77th Street Area Community

WHY: Through the generosity of the Mathew 25:35 Foundation, twenty-five children from 77th Street Area will be accompanied by a Police Officer as they shop for their back to school supplies. The children and their Officer escorts will transport them from Jackie Tatum Harvard Park to the Staples store on Figueroa St where the children will select a backpack and necessary tools to start the school year.
