Los Angeles:  Secret video recordings lands local youth basketball coach in jail.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2013, LAPD Juvenile Division’s Sexually Exploited Child Unit (SECU) began their investigation of Michael Miller, a basketball coach and sole proprietor of the Los Angeles College Preparatory Academy, a private organization operated from his home.

The investigation commenced after several of Miller’s players reported being secretly recorded on video in Miller’s residential bathroom.  It was also brought to the attention of detectives that there were possible minors involved.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined that all parties currently involved were adults.

The investigation culminated with the arrest of Michael Miller on October 27, 2014.  His bail was set at $50,000.00.  The Los Angeles City Attorney filed eight counts of Illegal Filming of his players while using his residential bathroom facilities, and one count of Sexual Battery.
