Bicyclist in Critical Condition; Hit and Run Driver Sought NR12305kr

Los Angeles:  A 55-year-old Los Angeles man was hit by a driver who failed to stop after the collision to provide aid or to identify themselves as required by law.

On Friday, June 29, 2012, around 4 p.m., a bicyclist riding on Outpost Drive near Mulholland Drive was hit by a driver believed to be driving a rust color, late model, Jeep Cherokee traveling south on Outpost Drive. The unidentified driver left the scene immediately after the collision and is facing felony Hit and Run charges.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel with major injuries and is listed in critical condition.
