Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a 30-year-old bicyclist deceased.
On July 1, 2025, at around 10:10 p.m., a black Tesla Model X was driving at a high rate of speed eastbound 67th Street towards Flower Street. The Tesla collided into a bicyclist who was traveling eastbound 67th Street from Flower Street. The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at scene and render aid to the victim. The driver fled eastbound 67th Street towards Broadway Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
