Body of Shooting Victim Found in His Auto Body Shop

Los Angeles – On Monday, August 7, 2000, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the body of Durrell Anthony Cart, a 34-year-old male Black, was discovered shot to death inside the building of the “Sophisticated Auto Body” which is located at 7419 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown and the suspect(s) and weapon(s) remain outstanding.

This incident is being investigated by LAPD 77the Street Homicide Detectives C. Tizano and J. Kessner. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to call 77th Street Homicide Detectives at 213-485-1383, or the 77th Street Watch Commander at 213-485-2389.
