Carjacking Resulted in a Homicide NR15247ml

San Fernando: The Los Angeles Police Department Mission Division Homicide detectives are investigating a Carjacking that resulted in a Homicide.

On Saturday, July 18, 2015, around 11:30 p.m., Mission patrol officers received a radio call of a Carjacking in the 11300 block of Acala Avenue in San Fernando.

The victim, 57-year-old, Mr. Dario Rosas, of San Fernando, drove to his residence and parked his vehicle, a 1997 Totota Rav 4. A short time afterward, Mr. Rosas was attacked and beaten. The suspect entered into Mr. Rosas vehicle and drove away.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported Mr. Rosas to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The victim’s vehicle was discovered in Panorama City and has been impounded for evidence.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic. It is not clear if the victim knew the suspect.
