Catering Truck Robbery Suspects Sought NR13380cc

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Area Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two robbery suspects caught on surveillance video robbing catering truck employees.

On Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 2:10 a.m., three employees of MCD Catering were working in their truck parked in the 2000 block of West Venice Boulevard, in the Olympic area. The employees saw a white Toyota Corolla driving slowly down West Venice Boulevard before making a U-turn and parking on the street. Two suspects exited the vehicle.

As the suspects approached the catering truck, one of them demanded money. He reached into his waist band, removed a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the victims.  The suspects took the victims money and then entered their vehicle, a 2009-2013 white 4-door Toyota Corolla with paper plates with red lettering, and drove southbound on Roosevelt Avenue.

First suspect is described as a male Hispanic 35-40 year old with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing army camouflaged pants and shirt.

Second suspect is described as a male Hispanic, between 19-25 year old with black hair and unknown eye color. He stands between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 170-180 pounds.
