Why:         
The African-American Forum and other Community Forums were established to promote understanding and develop collaborative partnerships with community leaders throughout the City of Los Angeles.  The Forum continues to serve as an important communication link between the police department and the community.  Participants represent a broad cross-section of the City’s African-American communities.
