Chief Bratton Attends Crowd Management Training

Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department has developed a new strategy involving crowd control techniques as it relates to public assemblies, marches, rallies and other similar events. The training will consist of a 10-hour day and will involve every officer including command staff personnel.

Members of the media will be allowed to film portions of the training being administered to the officers. A PIO will be at the entrance of the facility to direct media personnel to the parking area. Due to limited parking on the base an arrival time of 1:30 is suggested.

Chief Bratton and Deputy Chief Hillman will be available to members of the media for interviews.

Spanish speaking PIO’s will be on site for interviews.
