Child Abduction Regional Emergency Alert

Los Angeles: On Thursday, April 25, 2002, at 7:50 A.M., Laquasha Edison stated she had an argument with her boyfriend and left her residence, located at 2501 West 59th Street. Ms. Edison left her boyfriend caring for her six month-old baby girl, Harresha Edison.
Upon her return Ms. Edison learned her boyfriend, Harrees Carter, had taken the baby without authorization. It is believed Harrees Carter may be en-route to Mobile, Alabama with Harresha. Mr. Carter is not the biological father of the baby.
Harrees Carter is described as a 37 year-old male Black, with black hair and eyes; he is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 228 pounds. He is driving a four door, 1989 Nissan Maxima, California plates number 2NYZ823.
Harresha Edison is described as a 6 month-old female Black, has black hair and brown eyes, is 25 to 30 inches tall, and weighs 20 pounds. Harresha has asthma.

This investigation is being conducted by Detectives Rivers and Clemons, 77th Street Operations Support Division.
