"Child Abduction Regional Emergency Alert Issued"
 

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the assistance of the media to provide the public with the following information to assist law enforcement efforts in locating a child taken by his father.
On Monday, April 7, 2003, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the missing child’s mother went to Southeast Area Station to report that she had observed the suspect sexually molesting her biological nine year-old daughter; who is the suspect’s step-daughter. The alleged molestation occurred on April 6, 2003.
Southeast Area officers responded to the location to conduct an investigation while the suspect was out with the couple’s biological 5 year-old son. The suspect was on his way home when he became aware that the police was at his residence located in the 1100 block of East 105th Street, conducting an investigation. On becoming aware of the police being at his residence, the suspect disappeared, taking the 5 year-old with him.
The missing child is described as follows: Hector Antonio Lozzi, a male Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, approximately 3 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 50 pounds. It is unknown what Hector was last seen wearing.
The suspect, Brien Del Castillo, is described as a male Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, 6’0" tall; weighing 240 pounds. It is unknown what he was last seen wearing. The suspect was last seen with the child on foot. The suspect is possibly enroute to Mexico or Guatemala.
