Kathy Nicole Leath and her infant daughter were found late Monday around 10:30 p.m. at a motel in the 4100 block of South Western Avenue. They are both safe and sound.

Wilshire Area detectives have released a new photo of Kathy Nocole Leath and her 4-week-old infant daughter.  The photo is attached to the last page of this release.

Los Angeles:  The LAPD Wilshire Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a 23-Year-Old mother and her 4-week-old infant who were last seen in the area of Ralphs Market located at Pico and San Vicente in Los Angeles.

On September 3, around 3:30 in the afternoon, Kathy Nicole Leath and her 4-week old infant daughter Genesis True Leath went to the Ralphs grocery store located at Pico Blvd. and San Vicente in the company of Cortez Leath who is the Conservator/Uncle for Kathy.  Although Kathy is 23-years-old, she has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old child.

According to Cortez Leath, he walked away from Kathy and her infant daughter for a moment and when he returned they were nowhere to be found.  Kathy Nicole Leath is described as a 23-year-old female Black, with black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall weighing160 pounds with a medium complexion and build.  Kathy was wearing a purple tank top, blue jeans, black shoes and a costume jewelry ring.  Kathy’s infant daughter Genesis True Leath is a 4-week-old female, Black with brown hair and brown eyes, she is 26 inches, and weighs 8 pounds.  Genesis was wearing a purple “onsie” outfit, which is a one-piece baby outfit.

            

Due to the mental capacity of Kathy Nicole, a CARE Alert has been issued and the family and the Los Angeles Police Department are seeking the assistance of the public in locating Kathy and Genesis.
