Children Abducted by Mother
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division are asking for the public’s help in finding two missing children.
On August 21, 2025, at 1:30 a.m., 2-year-old Derek Alejandro Rodriguez-Hernandez and
10-year-old Jaden Hernandez were last seen walking away from their foster care home in the 300 block of South Virgil Avenue. It is believed their biological mother, Jackline Hernandez-Torres, took them from Virgil Avenue to the area of the 1500 block of East 52nd Street.
Derek is described as a male Hispanic with red hair and brown eyes. He stands two feet tall and weighs approximately 20 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.
Jaden is described as a male Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He stands four feet tall and weighs approximately 50-60 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.
