Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Metropolitan Division’s K-9 Unit and "A" platoon, will be hosting the annual holiday party for underprivileged children. Arriving Code-Three, Santa will be giving the children gifts purchased by LAPD officers. These officers, assumed the title of "Secret Santa" and adopted the children.
The children will be entertained with a "Bounce Ride," a piñata, and demonstrations by the K-9 and Mounted Units. There will also be a special appearance by "Old Nick" himself, Santa Claus.
The South Central LAMP program offers services for mothers and children in the community who have been identified as "at risk." The services offered strive to enhance parenting skills and quality family life.
