Citywide Fatal Traffic Collisions

What: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Traffic Group will hold a press conference to discuss fatal traffic collisions that occurred in 2019. We will provide safety tips to help reduce fatal traffic collisions. We will provide an update on the arrest of a suspect in the Thanksgiving Day fatal hit and run incident from Adams Boulevard and West View Street.

Why: The purpose of this news conference is to bring awareness of fatal traffic collisions in the City of Los Angeles. In 2019, over 54,0000 vehicular traffic collisions have occurred. Tragically, over 236 people have been killed in these incidents. As New Year’s Eve is approaching, the LAPD wants to educate the public on ways to keep you, your family, and others safe on the road.
