Missing person Ashley Barraza heard she was on the news and contacted her mother. She is safe and reunited with her family.
Los Angeles:  The family of Ashley Barraza and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding Ashley.

On Monday July18, 2011 at around 6:30 a.m., Ashley was dropped off at the Carl’s Jr near East Los Angeles (LA) City College by a family member. Ashley is a resident of the Southwest Area of Los Angeles and a student at East LA City College, but never made it her summer college classes on July 18, 2011.  

Family members have told detectives that Ashley recently met a man online who is a student at another local college. The man was interviewed and told detectives that he met up with Ashley on Monday July 18, 2011 at around 7 a.m. at the Carl’s Jr. The two are alleged to have spent the day together before the man drove Ashley to Garvey Avenue and Garfield Avenue in Monterey Park and dropped her off at an unknown friend’s house. The man was driving a red 1995 Honda Civic, two door, license plate 3MRC318.

Ashley is an 18-year-old female Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and approximately 190 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a black T- shirt, blue jean shorts, black tennis shoes and was carrying a green backpack.
