Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Olympic Area Property Crimes Unit detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect whose images were caught on surveillance video committing a burglary at a cash-for-gold business in the Mid-Wilshire area.
On October 12, 2010, at about 9:30 p.m., a Black male suspect entered a multi-office building located in the 3900 block of Wilshire Boulevard and made his way to the 4th floor of the building. The suspect then walked to the cash-for-gold business and forced open the front entrance to gain entry. He ransacked the office area and walked out the building with jewelry. Detectives believe he may be responsible for several other commercial burglaries on Wilshire Boulevard in the Koreatown and Rampart areas of Los Angeles.
The suspect is described as a Black male about 35 to 45 years old. He stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds. He was wearing a beige shirt and beige pants.
