Critical Missing 19-Year-Old Girl

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating
19-year-old Jessica Edwards, who is autistic and has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old child. She also suffers from echolalia, a condition where she repeats every words she hears. She has been missing since early Sunday morning.

On August 6, 2006, at about 8:40 a.m., Jessica left her assisted living residence in the 5300 block of Village Green, without authorization. She was seen at the Wal-Mart store, located at the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, shopping for CDs. Jessica disappeared from the store and has not been found.

Jessica is described as a female White, heavy built, shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes, 5’3" and 135 lbs. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a Sponge Bob Square Pants backpack.
