Detectives Investigate a Homicide

Los Angeles: On Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 10:0 p.m., an unidentified male Hispanic, approximately 30 years of age, was found dead in the alley located on the 1100 block of South San Pedro Street.
The man, identified as "John Doe" by Newton Area Detectives, was discovered by a passing citizen and pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death appears to be from asphyxiation.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
