Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting

Los Angeles: On Sunday, March 2, 2003 at approximately 9:00 p.m., two victims were walking in an alley next to a residence located on the 200 block of West 9th Street. One of the victims heard what sounded like a handgun being chambered. Both victims took off running. The suspect(s) then fired numerous rounds striking both victims. The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported both victims to a local hospital. Victim-1 died as a result of his wounds. Victim-2 was admitted to the hospital with a single gunshot wound to the leg.
Victim -1 has been identified as Alejandro Pinzon, an 18 year-old male Hispanic.
Victim-2 is a 14 year-old male Hispanic.
