Detectives Investigate Traffic Collision

Los Angeles: On August 31, 2002, at approximately 12:35 p.m. a male driving a gold Buick was driving eastbound Sherman Way, crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a blue Dodge van that was stopped southbound Woodman Avenue. After the first collision, the gold Buick continued eastbound and collided with a burgundy Toyota van that was northbound on Woodman Avenue. The Driver of the Dodge van, a 57 year-old, resident of North Hollywood, was treated at scene and released. The driver of the Toyota van, a 37 year-old resident of Panorama City, was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.
At this time, Detectives believe the driver of the gold Buick, a 62 year-old resident from Van Nuys may have suffered from a possible seizure at the time of the collision.
This incident is currently under investigation.
