A news conference to raise public awareness and assistance to help locate the suspect(s) responsible for a fatal hit-and-run incident that took the life of 18-year-old Miguel Mendez.

Why:
To aid in the investigation concerning the hit-and-run death of Mendez, as STD detectives have not been successful in identifying those responsible for this appalling crime. The incident occurred on Nov. 17 of this year about 7 p.m. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a late-model minivan last seen heading south on Broadway from Century Boulevard. The victim was merely crossing the road when he was hit, after which the driver failed to stop or render aid as required by law.
