Detectives Request Assistance in Solving Hit and Run Cases

A Press Conference has been scheduled for April 2,1999 at 12:00 p.m. at Parker Center, 150 North Los Angeles Street , Room #618, in the City of Los Angeles, to obtain the community’s assistance in locating the following hit and run suspects. Your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

On Tuesday, January 19,1999 at approximately 9:10 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at 4TH Street and Boyle Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. An 80 year old man was struck in the crosswalk by a hit and run stake-bed truck that was driven by a fifty year old male black. The hit and run driver and his vehicle are still outstanding and all leads have been exhausted. A $25,000 reward has been issued by the City of Los Angeles for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.

On Tuesday, January 19, 1999 at approximately 8:55 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at 46th Street and Main Street in the City of Los Angeles. An 64 year old man was struck in the crosswalk by a hit and run vehicle. The hit and run driver and their vehicle are still outstanding and all leads have been exhausted. A $10,000 reward has been issued by the City of Los Angeles for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.

On May 1, 1993 at approximately 1:10 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at 9th Street and Stanford Street in the City of Los Angeles. On the above date and time a 29 year old man, while driving his vehicle, was struck by a semi-tractor and trailer driven by Rogelio Pereira. Pereira abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Pereira is still outstanding. An arrest warrant has been issued for Pereira and a $25,000 reward has been issued by the City of Los Angeles for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.
