Detectives Seek Additional ‘Contact with Minor’ Sexual Offence Victims NR23239mp

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, Juvenile Division’s, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit is seeking the public’s help to identify additional victims after arresting 28-year-old substitute teacher and assistant football coach, David Vernon Price, Jr. a resident of Carson. Price worked at schools in the Long Beach and Los Angeles areas.

On August 12, 2023, investigators arrested 28-year-old Price on the following charges:

1 count 288.3 (a) PC – Contact with Minor for Sexual Offense
1 count 288.2(a)(2) PC – Distribution or Showing Pornography to a Minor
1 count 311.11(a) PC Possession of Child or Youth Pornography

Price was booked under Booking No. 6658307 and has been released on $45,000 bail.

Investigators identified one minor victim within the City of Los Angeles. It is believed that there are additional victims.

Price is believed to target minor age females. He is described as a male, Black, with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 6-feet-tall and weighs 228 pounds.

Juvenile Division detectives are overseeing the investigation and releasing the suspects booking photo because they believe the suspect is responsible for additional, unreported sexual assaults. Detectives are asking for anyone that was victimized by this suspect to immediately contact the LAPD. In addition, Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance for information regarding this crime.
