The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Jacob William James McFadden. He is described as a Black male with brown eyes and black hair. He stands six feet one inch tall and weighs 175 pounds. The suspect is a registered sex offender and has a felony want for 187PCMurder. The suspect possibly suffers from mental illness and is considered violent and dangerous. Koreatown: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect involved in the murder of a 59-year-old male.
On Monday, October 30, 2023 around 7:40 p.m., Olympic Area patrol officers responded to a “Ambulance Battery” radio call at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Kingsley Drive. The initial investigation revealed the suspect physically assaulted the victim until witnesses intervened. The suspect fled on foot northbound on Kingsley Drive.
The suspect is described as a male Black or Hispanic, 6 foot 1 inch, 160lbs, 30-40 years-old with tattoos on his chest, left shoulder, and near his right eye.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. On November 6, 2023, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is being held pending next-of-kin notification.
