North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a 45-year-old male.
On Thursday, October 27, 2023 around 5:15 p.m., North Hollywood Area Patrol Officers responded to a “Shooting in progress” radio call at the 11100 hundred block of Arminta Street in the City of Sun Valley.
Upon arrival, officers located witness and video surveillance footage of the incident. The initial investigation revealed a light-colored SUV drove on Arminta Street, near the 11100 hundred block. Two passengers exited the SUV and both suspects appeared to be armed. The suspects fire in the direction of the group standing in the driveway. Two victims were stuck by gunfire.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported both victims to a local hospital where one victim was pronounced deceased. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin. The second victim was treated and is in stable condition.
