Detectives will hold a press conference to ask for the public’s help in locating Servando Arellano, who is wanted for stalking charges and for questioning in a murder investigation.
When:
Monday, June 10, 2002, at 3:00 P.M.

77th Street Community Police Station, 7600 South Broadway
Los Angeles: On Saturday, June 8, 2002, at 1:05 A.M., 77th Street patrol officers responded to the scene of a shooting at 910 West 81st Street. Upon arrival officers found two female victims of gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victims, Angelica Gomez-Arellano, 20 years of age, and her 15 year-old sister, drove into their driveway and were confronted by a gunman who immediately opened fire into the car. Victim Gomez-Arellano sustained numerous gunshot wounds to her upper torso while her sister, Daisy Gomez, sustained a superficial wound to her hip.
The suspect ran away from the scene westbound 81st Street.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported Gomez-Arellano to Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital, where she died as the result of her injuries. Victim Daisy Gomez was treated and released at scene.
77th Street detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Servando Arellano for questioning in connection with Angelica Gomez-Arellano’s murder. Servando Arellano is wanted for stalking the victim prior to her murder. Mr. Arellano is described as a 24 year-old male Hispanic, 5’ 9" tall, 170 lbs. A photograph of the wanted suspect will be available at the press conference.
