Los Angeles: On Sunday, October 5, 2003, at about 7:40 p.m., a 6 year-old male Black child was sitting inside a vehicle with his parents in the 600 block of East 87th Street. Two male Black suspects driving a 4-door black Pontiac, Gran Prix drove by the location and began shooting, striking the 6-year-old.
The child was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
