Devonshire Area Hate Incident Investigated NR121160cj

Los Angeles: On Monday, April 03, 2012, around 10:30 a.m., LAPD Devonshire Area officers responded to two different radio calls of “Vandalism” in the community of Northridge.

Devonshire Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation which led to the identification of all of the involved parties responsible for the alleged vandalism.  The involved subjects responded to the station and provided formal statements regarding the incident.

The investigation revealed the involved individuals placed a Swastika using maple syrup at the scene of a private residence, in addition to committing other acts not amounting to criminal conduct.

Although no criminal conduct was established during these incidents, Hate Crimes and Hate incidents are not just a violation against an individual or group, but also against society as a whole.  As such, the LAPD places a very high priority on hate crimes.  The Los Angeles Police Department, Devonshire Detective Division aggressively investigated this mater to its resolution.
